The small footprint and light weight make it easy to handle manually or tow behind a riding mower, which is practical for youth leagues, recreational facilities, and volunteer-maintained diamonds where a full-size ATV may not be available.

Despite its compact size, the mat uses the same interlocking steel link construction as the larger models. The links conform to the infield surface as the mat is pulled, redistributing loose dirt from raised areas into low spots and smoothing out cleat marks. The 3-foot width is well suited for dragging individual base paths, the home plate area, and other high-traffic zones that need attention between games during a tournament schedule.
