Safety & Training Baseballs

MacGregor Safe/Soft baseballs use a reduced-compression construction that lowers ball hardness while maintaining regulation size and weight, making them appropriate for introductory youth programs where minimizing impact injury risk is a priority. Two severity index levels are available: Level 1 for ages 5–7, which provides the greatest impact reduction for the youngest players, and Level 5 for ages 8–12, which transitions toward a more standard ball feel as players develop arm strength and hitting ability. Both are sold by the dozen. Purchase orders and tax-exempt procurement are supported.
