This first base fungo protector screen is a flat-panel protective unit positioned near first base during infield drills and batting practice to shield coaches, first base coaches, and players from errant throws and batted balls. During a typical infield drill session, a coach hitting fungos from home plate sends ground balls and line drives to every position on the field. The first baseman fields throws from all angles while standing near the base, and a coach or player positioned nearby to observe footwork is directly in the path of overthrows from shortstop and third base. A first base fungo protector screen placed alongside the base creates a barrier that catches those errant throws and any foul balls redirected toward the first base area.

The removable legs allow the screen to be broken down for compact storage in an equipment room between practice sessions.
