Description
The 6′ W x 6′ L All Steel Drag Mat provides a balance of coverage and maneuverability for grooming baseball and softball infields. The 6-foot width covers base paths and infield arcs efficiently, while the 6-foot length delivers enough weight and surface contact to smooth loose dirt and fill in low spots left by cleat traffic. This size is a practical choice for high school and travel ball programs that maintain their own diamonds.
Steel drag mats level infield surfaces by redistributing loose material from high spots into depressions as the mat is pulled across the dirt. The interlocking steel link design conforms to the natural grade of the infield rather than bridging over low areas, which produces a more consistent finish than rigid leveling tools. The all-steel construction is impervious to moisture — the mat will not absorb water or become heavier in wet conditions, and it will not rot, mildew, or degrade from UV exposure like fabric alternatives.
The mat attaches to an ATV, utility vehicle, or riding mower and can be stored outdoors year-round without deterioration. No ongoing maintenance is required beyond periodic inspection of the link connections.

Had previously purchased the heavy duty drag matt and this was the second one for our league. The initial one was purchased several years ago and it had a nice 90 degree heavy bar in front. The newer version has a less substantial and rounded bar in front. The result is that it does not lay flat unless you get a longer chain and it does not do as good a job as the earlier version.
