The Collegiate Pitchers Protector Screen is a flat-panel pitchers protector screen designed to shield the pitcher during batting practice from line drives hit back through the middle. Built with a collegiate-grade galvanized steel frame and heavy-duty knotted netting rated for repeated hard-hit baseball impacts, this pitchers protector screen provides a continuous wall of protection at the mound with no cutout.

Unlike an L-screen that has a cutout for the pitcher to throw through, this pitchers protector screen uses a solid flat panel of netting across the full 7-foot width and height. The pitcher throws from behind or beside the screen rather than through it. This design is common in programs that use a dedicated BP pitcher who stands off to the side, or in drills where the coach feeds balls from a bucket rather than throwing full-motion pitches. The flat panel eliminates the gap inherent in an L-screen cutout, which means there is no angle from which a batted ball can reach the person standing behind the screen.
