Cross-Over Zone Protectors

Cross-over zones are the highest-wear locations on a multi-use synthetic track — the areas where athletes, spectators, and equipment from adjacent football, soccer, or lacrosse fields regularly cross the track surface during events and practice. Unprotected cross-over zones accumulate concentrated surface wear from cleated footwear and equipment that exceeds what the track surface is designed to absorb, leading to delamination, surface cracking, and premature replacement of sections that would otherwise have years of remaining useful life.

Standard cross-over zone protectors are available in multiple size configurations to match the track lane width and crossing depth at your specific facility. The Vipol Matrix Mesh cross-over zone protector uses an open-weave construction that allows drainage and airflow beneath the mat surface, preventing the moisture accumulation that can weaken track adhesive and surface bonding when solid mats trap water against the track for extended periods.
