The Heavy Duty Drag Mat (6’6″ W x 4′ L) is a reinforced flexible drag mat engineered for frequent, high-intensity infield grooming on baseball and softball diamonds. The heavy-duty construction uses thicker, more tightly woven material than standard drag mats, resulting in a denser, heavier mat that applies more consistent downward pressure to the infield surface. This additional weight and density improve the mat’s ability to smooth out deeper cleat marks, redistribute compacted material, and fill in low spots that lighter mats tend to skip over.

At 6’6″ wide, the mat covers a full base path width and a substantial portion of the infield arc in each pass. The 4-foot length provides enough trailing surface area to complete the smoothing process in a single pass rather than requiring back-and-forth strokes. The heavier construction is particularly beneficial on infields that receive heavy daily use, such as high school and collegiate fields during their competitive season or multi-field complexes hosting weekly tournaments.

The mat is a tow-behind tool that connects to an ATV, utility vehicle, or riding mower.
