5′ x 3′ Premium Nail Drag with Rigid Drag Mat

Description

This combo pairs the 5′ x 3′ Premium Nail Drag with a 6′ W x 18″ L rigid drag mat, providing a complete two-stage infield grooming system for baseball and softball fields. The nail drag scarifies and loosens compacted clay while the rigid drag mat follows behind to smooth, level, and finish the surface. Using both tools in a single pass significantly reduces the time required to prepare a diamond for game play or practice.

The Premium Nail Drag features 117 steel grooming nails (6″ L x 1/4″ diameter) mounted in a welded steel frame. The nails break through compacted hardpan to improve moisture penetration and create a loose surface that the rigid drag mat then grades to a smooth, even finish. This two-step process — scarification followed by mat finishing — is the standard approach used by professional and collegiate groundskeepers to maintain high-quality infield surfaces throughout the season.

The entire unit is tow-behind and attaches to an ATV, utility vehicle, or riding mower via the included pull chains. Integrated wheels and a tongue allow for easy transport and storage.
