Anchor Clean Out Tool

Description

The Anchor Clean Out Tool is used to remove compacted dirt, clay, and debris from inside ground-mounted base anchor sleeves on baseball and softball fields. Even with regular use of base plugs, anchor sleeves accumulate material over the course of a season from cleat traffic, rain wash, and general field activity. When debris builds up inside the sleeve, bases may not seat fully into the anchor, resulting in unstable bases that shift during play — a safety concern for base runners and fielders.

The tool is designed to reach down into the anchor sleeve and break up compacted material at the bottom where hand tools and fingers cannot reach. Regular cleaning at the beginning of the season, at midseason, and before postseason play ensures that bases mount flush and lock securely into the anchor mechanism.
